The company will return to Cologne, Germany, as it celebrates 25 years of Xbox, with a booth featuring 140 gaming stations where attendees can get hands-on with a wide range of first-party and third-party titles before they launch.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 headlines the line-up, giving visitors the chance to play the game’s Core 6v6 multiplayer on Xbox Series X. Gears of War: E-Day will also make its public playable debut, offering fans an early look at the campaign ahead of its release on 6 October 2026.

Another major attraction is Minecraft Dungeons II, which will be playable for the first time, while Playground Games will present a live theatre demonstration of Fable featuring extended gameplay. Players will also be able to try Metro 2039 ahead of its February 2027 launch, exploring the post-apocalyptic ruins of Moscow in 4A Games’ next first-person shooter.

Elsewhere, Halo: Campaign Evolved will be available for attendees to experience, showcasing the modernised remake of Halo: Combat Evolved’s campaign with updated visuals and gameplay improvements. Forza Horizon 6 will feature its new Drift Attack mode alongside previews of upcoming partnership collaborations, while Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will include the first public hands-on demo of its National Championship Air Races content.

Xbox’s booth will also feature demos for Stranger Than Heaven, Alien: Isolation 2, Alien Deathstorm, The Blood of Dawnwalker, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, Crowsworn, Genigods: Nezha, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, Star Wars Zero Company, Terrible Lizards, Turok: Origins, Valor Mortis, and several other upcoming titles.

Players unable to attend in person will be able to follow the event through live broadcasts on YouTube and Twitch. The streams begin at 4pm CEST on Wednesday, 26 August and Thursday, 27 August, featuring gameplay demonstrations, developer interviews, trailers, and special guests. Xbox has also confirmed accessibility options, including American Sign Language and English audio descriptions, with selected content available in additional languages.

Visitors can find the Xbox booth in Hall 7, booth A-0.61, with the exhibition open from 27 to 30 August. Xbox has confirmed the stand will include accessibility features such as Xbox Adaptive Controllers, adjustable demo stations, a quiet room, sensory items, and on-site assistance for players requiring adaptive setups.

The celebrations will also include the return of Xbox FanFest, taking place on the evening of 26 August at the Xbox booth. Fans will be able to enter a sweepstakes for a chance to attend through Xbox’s official FanFest channels.
