Nintendo has released a new overview trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, showcasing the enhanced visuals and new gameplay features coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 version ahead of its launch on November 5.
The reworked release follows young Link on his journey through Hyrule as he attempts to find the mythical Triforce and prevent the kingdom from falling into darkness. Nintendo’s latest trailer offers a closer look at the adventure, including its updated presentation and new additions.
One of the biggest changes is the introduction of microphone support, allowing players to interact with the game’s iconic ocarina in a new way. By humming a melody Link has learned or playing it on a real instrument, players can use the Nintendo Switch 2 microphone to trigger the corresponding response from the ocarina in the game.
The remake also introduces the Hall of Fallen Heroes, a new location featuring statues of defeated monsters. Players can visit the area to learn more about these enemies or challenge them to rematch battles.
Other improvements include overhauled visuals, fully voiced cutscenes with expanded dialogue and a full symphonic orchestral soundtrack. The game will also support ZELDA NOTES, a service available through the Nintendo Switch App for compatible smart devices, offering additional features during the adventure.
Nintendo has also confirmed that two new The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time amiibo figures will launch in 2027. These figures will unlock special in-game masks, while existing amiibo from The Legend of Zelda series will provide additional rewards when used during gameplay.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5.
