Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Jumps To The Top of Amazon Best Sellers, Goes Out of Stock [Update]
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD has already become one of the best sellers on Amazon in the Video Games Category and has been out of stock.
Nintendo announced an HD version of Skyward Sword during their latest Nintendo Direct. Skyward Sword was one of the least selling Zelda games on the Nintendo Wii but its re-release on the Switch has given it a boost, especially since it is coming out after the massive success of Breath of the Wild.
The game currently ranks as the number 1 best seller on Amazon USA and it is also charting in the Top 5 best-selling games on Amazon UK. It is out of stock and as a result, Amazon is working hard to get the game back in stock soon. This is despite the release date being set for July so it appears Amazon has already sold most of its allocated pre-orders. Update: The game is back in stock.
Zelda: Skyward Sword HD was first leaked last year on Amazon UK. This is an HD remaster of the original Zelda game with the addition of Analog controls in addition to Motion controls which were the only choice in the original Nintendo Wii release. The game is full-priced and can be purchased for $59.99. It is currently out of stock at retailers like Amazon.
There is a visual comparison between the original Skyward Sword and the new HD release and it doesn’t appear to show any major visual update aside from the improvement to the resolution. Regardless, it does offer a bigger file size than the original release on the Nintendo Wii.
