007 First Light Physical Copies Leak Ahead of Launch, Cosmetic Store Menu Spotted

Physical copies of IO Interactive’s upcoming James Bond game, 007 First Light, appear to have leaked ahead of the game’s official release next week.

Images and early reports shared online claim that retail copies are already circulating in the wild, allowing some players to access the game before launch. According to those reports, the game is playable without requiring a launch-day update, though not all content is reportedly included on the disc itself.

Users who gained early access also claim that the campaign can still be started immediately despite missing data tied to later portions of the game.

One detail drawing particular attention is the appearance of a store option within the game’s menus. While no further information regarding monetization or purchasable items has surfaced yet, the menu listing has already sparked discussion online ahead of release.

007 First Light is scheduled to launch worldwide on May 27, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is also planned for release later this year.

Developed entirely by IO Interactive, the game serves as a completely original James Bond origin story focused on a younger and less experienced version of the iconic British spy before earning full 00 status.

The single-player action-adventure title combines stealth gameplay, cinematic set pieces, gadget-based espionage mechanics, and social engineering systems across multiple international locations.
