007 First Light Update 1.3.0 Adds New Game Plus and Photo Mode

007 First Light Update 1.3.0 is now live, introducing Extended Operations, the game’s first major free DLC. The update adds New Game Plus, Photo Mode, a new 00 difficulty, expanded gadget flexibility, and new TacSim content including Jungle Heist and Valhalla Protocol.

The update also includes over 700 fixes and improvements covering crashes, progression blockers, combat, weapons, AI, visuals, audio, localisation, UI, and mission-specific issues. Weapon handling animations have also been refined across the arsenal, while several new rewards, outfits, and TacSim weapons have been added.

New Content

New Game Plus

  • New Game Plus allows players to replay the campaign with additional features.
  • Completing the entire campaign is required to unlock New Game Plus.
  • A Mission Wardrobe feature allows players to change Bond’s outfit at any point during a New Game Plus playthrough.
  • Players can restart from their chosen checkpoint after changing outfits.
  • Gadget Flexibility allows players to change their gadgets at any time during a mission.
  • Only gadgets unlocked at the corresponding point in the story can be used.
  • New Game Plus introduces the new 00 difficulty.
  • 00 difficulty is the hardest difficulty level, with enemies spotting Bond faster and dealing more damage.
  • Gadget resources only restore a fraction of their usage on 00 difficulty.
  • 00 difficulty is unlocked after completing the campaign.

Photo Mode

  • Photo Mode allows players to capture Bond, locations, and action from custom camera angles.
  • Camera settings, overlays, filters, visual effects, and poses can be adjusted when taking photos.

New TacSim Content

  • Valhalla Protocol adds a new TacSim activity set in Slovakia.
  • Players can drive the Aston Martin Valhalla equipped with machine guns and missile launchers.
  • Jungle Heist returns players to The Pearl Hotel in Vietnam to retrieve valuable documents from a safe inside the villa.
  • Jungle Heist is designed so that each attempt can play differently.
  • The Storm 12 Gauge has been added as a new TacSim weapon.
  • The Squire Marksman Rifle has been added as a new TacSim weapon.
  • Observant Spy, Leisure Beam, and First Class outfits have been added to TacSim and are unlocked by default.

Additional Rewards

  • Jack the Bulldog has been added to MI6 HQ.
  • Players can interact with Jack and pet him.
  • The Grey Standard outfit is available as an IOI Account reward.
  • Players who connect their game to an IOI Account before November 1 can unlock The Grey Standard outfit.

Combat Improvements

  • Weapon handling animations have been improved across the arsenal.
  • Reloads, aiming transitions, weapon swaps, and weapon throws have been made smoother and more responsive.
  • Bond can now be thrown off ledges in the same way as his opponents.
  • An exploit allowing additional Focus to be gained by pressing the Focus input immediately before and after firing has been fixed.
  • Resource Swap upgrades equipped in TacSim no longer carry over into story missions and prevent gadget tutorials from being completed.
  • An issue causing a soft lock when a guard walked into a Flash Mine during a fake surrender has been fixed.
  • Empty magazines no longer repeatedly spawn when holding and releasing aim while reloading.
  • Weapon clipping and hand placement issues during quick-draw and reload animations have been fixed for the Knight 1 AR, Storm 12 Gauge, Osato 8 SMG, T&M Compact, and Stormberg 50 CAL.
  • Weapon pickup animations have been improved when kicking weapons.
  • The range for detonating fire extinguishers with Context Strikes has been improved.
  • Enemy helmets no longer remain attached after melee takedowns or Context Strikes.
  • The final kick of a grab sequence no longer incorrectly triggers a Context Strike.

Stability and Performance

  • Several crashes related to rendering, animations, and game states have been fixed.
  • A crash that could occur after several minutes of gameplay has been fixed.
  • Pipeline cache generation issues that could cause crashes on launch have been fixed.
  • An Xbox-specific achievement issue that could cause a crash during startup has been fixed.
  • Memory usage related to longer prop sounds and flashbang effects has been reduced.
  • A performance drop on the Save Slot Selection screen affecting certain GPUs has been fixed.
  • A crash that could occur after picking up the Q-Watch during an MI6 Hub sequence has been fixed.
  • Several mission-specific crashes have also been addressed.

Saves, Checkpoints, and Progression

  • Fixed an issue that could leave a save slot partially unusable after returning to the main menu.
  • Fixed several issues after reloading saves, resuming from the main menu, or selecting Retry.
  • Progression blockers involving opportunities, NPCs, doors, gadgets, and Bond becoming trapped have been addressed.
  • Fixed an issue where changing the controller scheme during dialogue quizzes could block progression.
  • Fixed multiple mission-specific progression issues across the campaign.

Controls and Camera

  • Input priority has been improved to reduce unintended actions.
  • Instinct can now correctly activate from a press.
  • Camera auto-tracking and Bond’s head tracking have been improved.
  • Partial-stick movement now scales Bond’s animations more smoothly with movement speed.
  • Gadget input rebinding now correctly updates the corresponding Q-Lens icons.
  • Fixed an issue where toggling Q-Lens while aiming with mouse and keyboard could reset Bond’s aim.
  • Fixed an issue where Bond could teleport into a vent or door animation when punching while entering it.
  • Fixed an issue where Bond could become unable to attack after the Parry tutorial appeared during combat.
  • Fixed an issue where Bond could become unable to exit a guided movement sequence.
  • Fixed unexpected sliding or rotation while aiming down sights.
  • Fixed incorrect controller types appearing in button prompts when two different controllers are connected.

AI and NPC Fixes

  • Fixed enemy types that could fail to call reinforcements over the radio.
  • Reinforcements called by cameras now correctly react to lures.
  • NPCs calling reinforcements no longer remain permanently bluffed.
  • NPCs now correctly track their assigned areas and respond to trespassing.
  • Fixed issues where NPCs could duplicate tablets or both drop and retain them.
  • Vehicle collision behaviour has been improved.
  • Boats now correctly move away after colliding with objects.
  • Tyre trails have been added to vehicles driving across terrain.
  • NPC ladder navigation has been fixed.
  • Darting an already darted NPC no longer incorrectly triggers a poison gas reaction.
  • NPC collision against walls has been improved.
  • Scaffolding no longer remains partially intact after destruction and affect camera collision.

UI and HUD

  • Epic Games Store reward access issues after restarting the game have been fixed.
  • The Epic Games Store Intel Shop now correctly displays items after restarting.
  • Epic Games Store achievement icons no longer display incorrect placeholders or sizes.
  • The Resume Game description can no longer be navigated into as though it were a submenu.
  • Inspectable objects can now be flipped correctly after repeated use of the Flip input.
  • The Throw Object HUD element no longer rapidly pulsates.
  • An empty Tutorial page no longer appears when pausing during the opening credits.
  • Chapter artwork has been updated to better match background videos.
  • Incorrect text padding on collectible tiles has been fixed.
  • Outfit detail tags now update correctly after equipping an outfit.
  • Missing padding on the Load Game header has been fixed.
  • The Special Weapon action is now listed consistently in the Controls menu.

Visual Improvements

  • Balcony cloth props now partially fade when obstructing the player’s view.
  • Smoke effects when robot capsules open have been improved.
  • Cloth simulation on interactable objects has been improved.
  • Weapon visual effects and bullet impacts have been improved.
  • Unintended glow inside the mouths of some crowd NPCs has been fixed.
  • Flickering on blurred emissive lights has been reduced.
  • Enemy ragdoll jitter after landing on debris has been fixed.
  • Perfect Parry visual effects have been improved.
  • A dark shadow artifact caused by Path Tracing has been fixed.
  • Several Xbox Series S character LOD and skinning issues have been fixed.
  • Character models appearing too dark in Performance Mode on Xbox Series S have been fixed.
  • Lighting smearing on Xbox Series S has been fixed.
  • Xbox Series S issues involving NPCs spawning in mid-air or appearing late have been fixed.
  • Numerous clothing, LOD, material, hair, and cloth simulation issues have been fixed.

Cinematics and Audio

  • Props no longer remain suspended after NPCs holding them despawn or change animations abruptly.
  • Camera framing for prompts during drama moments has been improved.
  • Camera transitions when entering and leaving drama moments have been improved.
  • Bond’s facial and eye animations during eavesdropping have been improved.
  • Fixed Bond’s feet moving while idling in crouched cover on uneven terrain.
  • Fixed character pop-in during Spectacle Moments.
  • Multiple MI6 HQ cinematic animation, clipping, and camera issues have been fixed.
  • Pausing the game no longer causes inconsistent audio behaviour.
  • Body impact sounds during close combat have been improved.
  • Missing sound effects while sliding down pipes have been fixed.
  • Audio for fingerprint scanners at MI6 HQ has been improved.

Localization

  • Translation, typo, and subtitle issues have been fixed in Spanish, Polish, Russian, French, German, Italian, and Brazilian Portuguese.
  • English text, subtitle, and typo issues have also been fixed.
  • Incorrect challenge and collectible names have been corrected.

Mission Fixes

  • Numerous progression, gameplay, visual, audio, animation, and stability issues have been fixed across the campaign’s missions.
  • In 00 – Against the Odds, crashes, challenge progression, traversal, enemy reactions, cinematics, and audio issues have been addressed.
  • In 01 – The Needle’s Eye, training, NPC navigation, traversal, collision, camera, and audio issues have been fixed.
  • In 02 – A Night Out, nightclub gameplay, Q-Lab, visual, and cinematic issues have been addressed.
  • In 03 – All the Time in the World, crashes, vehicle behaviour, progression, collectibles, visuals, cinematics, audio, and localisation issues have been fixed.
  • In 04–05 – The Past Never Dies / Beyond the Grave, crashes, traversal, NPC behaviour, vehicle issues, progression blockers, visuals, cinematics, and audio have been addressed.
  • In 06 – Uninvited, gameplay, NPC behaviour, Museum Gala visuals, cinematics, and audio issues have been fixed.
  • In 07 – Knightfall, progression blockers, collision issues, NPC behaviour, vehicle issues, visuals, cinematics, and audio problems have been addressed.
  • In 08 – Time to Die, AI performance, traversal, vehicle behaviour, objectives, NPCs, visuals, cinematics, and audio have been improved.
  • In 09 – Wave of the Future, crashes, challenges, progression, NPC behaviour, traversal, visuals, cinematics, and audio issues have been fixed.
  • In 10 – For England, playable-area, collision, NPC, combat, progression, visual, cinematic, and audio issues have been addressed.

TacSim Fixes

  • Fixed TacSim challenges that could fail to award XP or Intel, award incorrect amounts, or become impossible to complete.
  • Fixed incorrect price colours for unaffordable items in the Intel Shop.
  • Fixed the Back to Store option returning players to the wrong item.
  • Fixed inconsistent gadget upgrade icons in the TacSim Hub.
  • Improved the TacSim leaderboard flow.
  • Fixed a spelling error in TacSim Tier 1 Training.
  • Fixed NPCs appearing late across several TacSim missions.
  • Fixed a white gradient appearing on TacSim mission images.
  • Fixed multiple TacSim cinematic and animation issues.
  • Fixed several Advanced Tactical Training progression and spawning issues.
  • Fixed Advanced Close Combat Training weapon, music player, and visual issues.
  • Fixed issues across Arctic Skies, Clean Infiltration, Lords of Rust, The Assault, The Garden Party, and Extraction Three Ways.

007 First Light was released on May 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version planned for early 2027. The game was developed and published by IO Interactive.
