Cold Iron Studios has confirmed that Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 will launch on August 25 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Alongside the release date announcement, the developer has revealed pricing and post-launch content available at release.
The Digital Standard Edition will be priced at $49.99, while the 40th Anniversary Premium Edition will launch alongside it for $69.99. Players who purchase the Standard Edition can also upgrade later by buying the 40th Anniversary Premium Edition Upgrade for $19.99.
The Premium Edition includes the base game and two cosmetic DLC packs inspired by the wider Alien franchise. The Herk’s Mondo Pest Pack adds a modified Pulse Rifle, exclusive weapon colour variants and 9 themed decals.
Also included is the Ripley’s Hive Exterminator Pack, based on Ellen Ripley’s appearance in the 1986 film Aliens. The pack features a modified Pulse Rifle, weapon colour variants and 8 exclusive decals themed around the iconic character.
A separate Rain’s Jackson’s Star Pack will also be available on launch day for $9.99 across all editions of the game. Inspired by Alien: Romulus, the DLC includes a modified Pulse Rifle equipped with a cryoweapon underbarrel attachment, additional weapon colour variants and 8 themed decals.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 launches on August 25 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and the Epic Games Store. Pre-orders are now available for both the Standard and 40th Anniversary Premium Edition.
