Final Fantasy VII Remake has been updated to version 1.01 on PS4. Here’s the file size of this update and the patch notes as seen on PS4.
Square Enix has updated Final Fantasy VII Remake almost half a year after the launch of the game on PS4. This update is rather minor in size, weighing in at just 140 MB as per the download size seen on PSN. Moreover, this is currently only available in Asia and Japan so if you haven’t received it yet, this hasn’t been released for the rest of the world.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Update 1.01 Patch Notes

The patch notes can be accessed on the PS4 through the update history and only mention this small generic change. We don’t really have any idea on what has been fixed with this update but knowing the launch of PS5 is close and some older PS4 games were also patched out of nowhere, this could be related to the game getting compatibility support on the PS5.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is a timed PS4 exclusive that was released back in April. It is also one of the best selling exclusives for the PS4 his year, at least in North America.
