Gears of War 5 Tech Test: How To Download It and File Size Revealed

Gears of War 5 Tech Test will go later this week but you can now grab it ahead of the servers going live. This will ensure that you can jump right in as the servers go online.

Gears of War 5 Tech Test will offer three different distinct multiplayer modes. There were will two multiplayer maps spread across these three multiplayer modes. In addition, players can enjoy practicing with the new weapons and skills in the Bootcamp.

Here are the details on the three multiplayer modes which are available to play in the Gears of War 5 Tech Test.

  • Arcade: A new approachable, frenetic Versus experience.
  • Escalation: The pinnacle objective mode of Gears is back and better than ever.
  • King of the Hill: Capture the hill, enjoy the carnage.

In addition to the Bootcamp, players can also take part in a Tour of Duty that allows them to complete Medals to unlock exclusive Tester Weapon Skins. Complete Challenges and earn enough stars to unlock the exclusive Tester Banner that can be imported in the full version of Gears of War 5.

How To Download Gears of War 5 Tech Test and Download Size?

Gears of War 5 Tech Test can be grabbed from the official Microsoft Store, however, not everyone can take part in it. You need to either pre-order the game or own an active Xbox Game Pass subscription in order to download the Tech Test.

The download size of this client for the Tech Test is 12.42 GB and it is available now. You can download it and keep it on the hard disk and when the servers go live for the two tech tests, you can jump in and play through the multiplayer modes.

There will be two technical tests for the game. The first one is expected to start from July 19. Here are the details on both of them.

The first Technical Test period will run from July 19th at 10am PDT until July 22nd at 10am PDT.

The second Technical Test period will run from July 26th at 10am PDT until July 29th at 10am PDT.

The game is launching on September 10 and will be available on Xbox One in addition to PC through Steam and Windows 10 store. You can also grab it on launch through Xbox Game Pass.
