Metroid Dread Gets a New Teaser Trailer That Hints at at The Past

by Salal Awan

Nintendo has released a brand new teaser trailer for Metroid Dread ahead of the launch of the game. This teases some of the story elements.

Metroid Dread is the first brand new Metroid game in more than a decade. It was announced during the E3 2021 Nintendo Direct and confirmed to launch later in October. The game appears to follow some of the gameplay elements that were established in its predecessors. The theme of a nemesis that keeps chasing the player appears to have been taken from Metroid Fusion.

The short teaser trailer gives a closer glimpse at the story of the game. It is a very short cinematic which shows Samus riding an elevator and appears to showcase flashbacks and a mysterious figure. To be honest, we are not that big of a Metroid fan to figure out the teases highlighted in the trailer, but you might have a better idea.

Metroid Dread will be out on October 8, 2021. The game is confirmed to launch exclusively for the Nintendo Switch and it was one of the main games that were being marketed along with the new Nintendo Switch OLED model.
