Microsoft Removes Optimized For Xbox Series X Logo From Box Art

Microsoft has removed the logo for Xbox Series X optimization from the box art. This has been confirmed by analyst Daniel Ahmad who shared the updated box art.

Microsoft had made a logo to confirm if a game that is launching was optimized for Xbox Series X. They plan to support their consoles with first-party output and to differentiate support from first and third-party developers, they made it mandatory to have this logo on the box art.

This logo has been removed now and instead of blocking the cover art on the front, this logo has been placed on the back as shared by analyst Daniel Ahmad.

Dirt 5 was the game that was shown as an example. The logo has been removed from the box art so it no longer with the artwork for the cover. As per Daniel and The Verge’s Tom Warren, it will be situated on the back of the game case and it won’t be as imposing as it was on the front of the cover art.

Xbox Series X will be out this Holiday. Games that support the Smart Delivery upgrade and are optimized for Xbox Series X will have special logos on the box art. The updated box art has removed these logos now and replaced them with less nuisance text that still confirms if the game is optimized for the console or not.

Dirt 5 will be out on October 29, 2020, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It is also confirmed to launch on Xbox Series X and PS5. It will be a free next-generation upgrade for existing PS4 or Xbox One users. PC owners can enjoy all the benefits of the next-generation upgrade at launch.
