Square Enix has confirmed that Outriders will be available to play on Xbox Game Pass on day one. This was previously a rumor that was confirmed today.

Outriders recently had a demo for all platforms that allows users to play through an early portion of the game before the official release in April. It was then rumored that the game might debut on Xbox Game Pass. This has been confirmed today in a blog post on the official Xbox website.

“Starting April 1 (not an April Fool’s joke, I assure you), Xbox Game Pass for Console and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can jump into this true genre-hybrid from Square Enix, which combines brutal combat with deep RPG systems, ” reads the post on the Xbox Wire website.

The game is being released for Xbox Game Pass on Consoles and also playable on Android phones and tablets via Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta). It will make its debut on April 1st as confirmed by Microsoft.

Outriders is a co-op game that can allow up to 2 players to play through a story campaign together. It is a third-person RPG shooter from People Can Fly, who has worked on Bulletstorm. The game is confirmed to arrive on PS4, PS5, PC, and will also debut for all Game Pass subscribers on Consoles and Android phones and Tablets on April 1st.

Before the official announcement, the game was rumored through a post that was shared by the official social media account for Game Pass. It hinted at the inclusion of Outriders with a subtle tease related to the opening mission of the game.
