Overwatch Update 2.98 Is Out, Here Are The Patch Notes

Blizzard has updated Overwatch to version 2.98 implementing a number of bug fixes. You can find out the complete details with these patch notes.

After the release of the new seasonal event, Blizzard has updated Overwatch today bring in a slew of fixes. Some of the issues that have been patched with this update are the “gg ez” filter and skill ratings no longer appearing in the career profile.

There are no character balance changes in this update, but that is not a big surprise because this is mainly a hotfix. There are two character-specific fixes for Geni and Tracer.

BUG FIXES

General
  • Fixed a bug that caused the “gg ez” filter to no longer work properly
  • Fixed a bug that caused the “Add a Friend” button to disappear when using a controller on PC
  • Fixed a bug with skill ratings not appearing in the career profile for non-role queue competitive seasons
  • Fixed a bug that caused Twitch drops for Tracer’s Comic Challenge to not be received in game (rolling fix over the past week)
Heroes

Genji

  • Fixed a bug that caused Swift Strike to inflict double damage under specific circumstances

Tracer

  • Fixed a bug that prevented Blink from working properly in specific rooms

Overwatch is available for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Blizzard has confirmed that a sequel is currently in development.
