Shenmue III has been updated to version 1.04 by Ys Net. This update implements a number of performance improvements as detailed in the patch notes.
Ys Net was created by Yu Suzuki and its first project was Shenmue 3. The project originated as a Kickstarter pitch that set a new crowdfunding record. The game didn’t really have a smooth development cycle and faced numerous delays and some controversy surrounded its launch on PC with Epic Games Store exclusivity.
The new update for Shenmue III doesn’t seem to increase the file size and it merely adds on a previous update. This one does implement a number of important fixes and improvements. The total file size of all of the previous updates combined should be around 16 GB on PS4.
