The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition runs at a native 4K resolution on the PS5 while it renders at a dynamic 4K resolution on Xbox Series X.
One of the reasons why the game appears to render at dynamic 4K on the Xbox Series consoles could be related to the mod support. While PS5 also supports modding for the game, it is limited compared to the Xbox consoles.

PS5 renders at a native resolution of 3840×2160.
Xbox Series X uses a dynamic resolution with the highest resolution found being 3840×2160 and the lowest resolution found being 2688×2160. Pixel counts at 2688×2160 seem to be rare and the resolution drops less often on Xbox Series X than on Xbox Series S.
Xbox Series S uses a dynamic resolution with the highest resolution found being 2560×1440 and the lowest resolution found being 1792×1440. Pixel counts at 2560×1440 were only found to be sustained in less complex scenes such as dungeons.
The frame rate is mostly solid 60 FPS on the current-generation consoles although it does drop on the Xbox Series S.
What’s New In Skyrim Anniversary Edition
The Anniversary Edition includes the core game, pre-existing and new Creation Club content, plus all three official add-ons: Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn.
The Creation Club content that has been confiremd to be a part of the game includes:
- Saints & Seducers
- Rare Curios
- Survival Mode
- Fishing
