The biggest upgrade is with the frame rate which was previously locked to 45 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series S. It has been bumped up to 60 FPS on the new consoles offering a significant upgrade over their predecessors.

Here are some of the details on this new update that were confirmed by EA. The resolution of PS5 is limited to just 1200p while Xbox One users can enjoy two different modes: Resolution and Performance. In the resolution mode, the upper limit is set at 2160p while in the performance mode, the upper limit is set at 1440p.

PS5 owners only have one mode that runs at 60 FPS but with a 1200p resolution. Xbox Series S is locked to 1080p with a 60 FPS performance.

It is hard to spot the major difference between the Xbox Series X and PS5 aside from the resolution. Both appear to run identical to each other and hold their performance very well. The same is true for the Xbox Series S.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is available now for PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. It was already available for PS4 and Xbox One and previously playable on the new consoles through backward compatibility. The game can also be played through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or EA Access.
