The Last of Us Part 2 has received a release date in a new story trailer. It is the most ambitious and longest game that was developed by Naughty Dog.
Naughty Dog has been well-known in the games industry for their critically acclaimed games that started with the launch of Uncharted on the PS3. They have received universal critical acclaim for the Uncharted series and also created a new IP with The Last of Us. The sequel to this highly anticipated series is arriving next year for the PS4.

In a blog post, the game director, Neil Druckmann talks about the work that they have done on the sequel. He also called The Last of Us Part 2 their most ambitious and longest game so far.
“What we realized pretty early on is that we were putting together Naughty Dog’s most ambitious and longest game in our 35 year history, ” said Druckmann. “To tell this kind of story the game needed to be massive.”

Sony recently held a State of Play presentation that featured several different games including The Last of Us Part 2. The release date for the game was revealed along with information on its various retail editions including Collector and Ellie Edition. It will be reportedly available on two discs if we go by a Best Buy listing of the Special Edition.
In the past, there were various rumors about the release date for the game. Most of the speculation was that the game was launching in February 2020, which has turned out to be true after the official announcement made by Sony during the State of Play trailer. The game is now set to launch on February 21, 2020, exclusively for the PS4.
