ARC Raiders Update 1.45.0 Adds Expedition 5 and Hornet Hunter Set

ARC Raiders Update 1.45.0 is now live, introducing Expedition 5, the Hornet Hunter Set, the new Raider Project: Ascending the Mountain, and community-designed Rubber Ducks. The update also introduces changes to Cred ahead of its retirement with the Frozen Trail update.

The patch includes gameplay, audio, customization, UI, stability, and performance improvements, including an upgrade from Unreal Engine 5.3 to 5.7. Several crashes and matchmaking issues have also been addressed, while the developers have outlined a number of known issues still affecting players.

ARC Raiders Update 1.45.0 Patch Notes

New Content

  • The Raider Project: Ascending the Mountain has been added.
    • Raider efforts have uncovered clues surrounding phantom ARC signals that have Shani concerned.
    • The signals lead to a mountain range beyond the reach of the Tube system.
    • Apollo is working on an experimental solution and has requested assistance from Raiders who understand schematics and can keep their heads down.
  • Expedition 5 has begun.
  • The Hornet Hunter Set has been added.
  • Community-designed Rubber Ducks have been added.
    • The selected community designs are now available in Bird City.
    • The Rubber Ducks can be displayed in the Raider Den.
    • The designers are gekko.rar, im_AshCheeks, and nassguhl.

Cred Changes

  • Cred will be retired as a currency with the Frozen Trail update.
  • Existing Cred will remain usable until October 8.
  • Players should spend remaining Cred with Shani or on available Raider Deck rewards before the Frozen Trail update.
  • A more expansive reward system will be introduced with the Frozen Trail update.
  • Existing Raider Deck rewards will also be available through the new reward system.
  • Rewards already claimed will remain with players after the update.
  • Any remaining Cred will expire when the Frozen Trail update launches.

ARC

  • Snitch Scanners will now spawn ARC similarly to the regular Snitch.
    • Snitch Scanners have a lower chance of spawning stronger ARC.

Audio

  • Fixed an issue where the Equalizer could play its firing sound effect while being holstered.
  • Fixed an issue where voice chat did not work when Raider Voice was enabled.

Customization

  • Fixed an issue where Rawhide headgear remained equipped when its toggle was set to off.
  • The Boonie outfit will become available on September 15.

Gameplay

  • Landing on moving surfaces now causes players to follow the surface when they land rather than while they are still in the air.
  • Quick item cycling can now be rebound separately from the quick-use wheel.
    • Quick item cycling can also be disabled.
    • Quick item cycling and the quick-use wheel can be assigned to the same key.
    • The change is intended to prevent unintended item swaps after closing the wheel.
  • Fixed an issue where ARC Turbine mines could not be pinged.
  • Reduced weapon sway for Aphelion to improve aiming stability.
  • Starting an Expedition no longer resets quests by default.
    • Players can now choose whether to reset their quests when departing.
  • Fixed an issue where the Matriarch’s stomp could damage players through tall cover or while standing on top of the Matriarch.
  • Added a new severe over-encumbrance tier for players carrying substantially more than their loadout weight limit.
    • Movement is restricted to walking.
    • Sprinting is disabled.
    • Jumping is disabled.

Stability

  • Fixed a PlayStation 5 crash that could occur shortly after starting a session.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when rapidly pressing certain keys during gameplay.
  • Fixed cases where a squad could become stuck after a squadmate signed out and rejoined.
    • The issue could prevent players from readying up.
    • The issue could prevent matchmaking from starting.

Performance

  • Upgraded Unreal Engine from version 5.3 to version 5.7.

UI

  • The loadout weight indicator now updates directly when players drop parts of a stack.
  • Added visual adjustments to selected nodes in the Skill Tree.
  • Fixed an issue where some distance-based map markers did not appear correctly.
  • The pickup prompt now displays “loadout full” when attempting to pick up an item with a full inventory.
  • Improved matchmaking error messages.
    • Players will receive clearer explanations when going offline while queuing.
    • Players will receive clearer explanations when crossplay settings are incompatible.
    • The changes are intended to make failed matchmaking attempts easier to diagnose.

Known Issues

  • The second part of the Phantom Targets project could not be started for some players.
    • Compensation will be provided in a future update.
  • Multiple stability improvements are targeting crashes on Xbox Series S.
    • Players are encouraged to report persistent issues to help guide further fixes.
  • PC crashes related to Windows Update KB5121003 are being investigated.
    • Players are directed to the shared workaround while a fix is being developed.
  • Players on Epic may experience a sudden loss of keyboard input.
    • Disabling active overlays is recommended.
    • Players can also try alt-tabbing out of and back into the game.
  • The throw animation may fail to play when attempting to detonate a Trigger ‘Nade immediately after throwing it.
  • The weapon swap animation may appear broken when swapping weapons immediately after vaulting.
  • Player animations may appear broken when interrupting a search of the Baron Husk.
  • Shredders may float to the ceiling in some rooms of the Hidden Bunker.
  • Leapers can jump through the ARC Turbine.
  • Shots taken while riding ARC may not register correctly.
  • Some doors may allow player flashlight beams to pass through instead of blocking the emitted light.
  • Clipping issues are present with the Triumph, Reaver, and Azimuth outfits.
