A developer working on Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has responded to community concerns surrounding combat visuals, audio design, and missing features following recent footage and previews.
Justin Ng, a producer at Ubisoft Singapore, addressed several questions directly on social media, clarifying that blood effects will be present in the final version of the game. “There WILL be blood in the final game, and it will not be a paid DLC,” Ng stated, responding to speculation that the feature had been removed or could be monetized separately.
Ng also acknowledged feedback related to combat presentation, particularly visual effects and sound design. “We hear the feedback on the VFX and audio cues on fight. It’s being toned down,” he said, indicating that adjustments are already being made based on player reactions.
In addition to combat concerns, Ng confirmed that classic social stealth mechanics remain intact in the remake. When asked whether features such as blending into crowds, hiring dancers, and using benches were still included, he replied, “It’s still there. #Faithful.” He also confirmed that the game will include a photo mode, simply stating, “Yes” when asked.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is being developed by Ubisoft Singapore and is scheduled to launch on July 9, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC. The remake revisits Edward Kenway’s story during the Golden Age of Piracy, featuring updated visuals, enhanced gameplay systems, and expanded content while aiming to retain the core elements of the original experience.
