Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Reveal Set for April 23

by Greg Martin

Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will be fully revealed on April 23 during a dedicated showcase. The presentation is scheduled for 6:00 PM CEST and 9:00 AM PDT, and will be streamed on Ubisoft’s official YouTube and Twitch channels.

The reveal follows a series of early details and reports surrounding the project, which appears to revisit Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag with updated elements. Promotional artwork recently surfaced on the Ubisoft Launcher, reportedly spotted by a Reddit user, showing protagonist Edward Kenway in a new black and gold outfit. The listing also indicates that the game will be available on day one for Ubisoft+ Premium subscribers at no additional cost, accompanied by the message, “Set sail for the Carribean. (Re)play this classic swashbucking adventure on Day 1 with Ubisoft+ Premium.”

Further information from an unofficial Indonesian ratings board listing suggests that the remake will remain faithful to the original while introducing “new characters and stories.” Ubisoft has not elaborated on these additions, though the company previously acknowledged the project in a blog post outlining the franchise’s roadmap for 2026.

Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag remains one of the series’ most successful entries, with Ubisoft confirming in 2023 that the game had reached over 34 million players. The upcoming Resynced version appears positioned as both a revival and an expansion of that foundation, with more concrete details expected during the April 23 showcase.
