Assassin’s Creed Mirage Rated “Adults Only 18+” On Xbox Store, Contains “Real Gambling”
Assassin’s Creed Mirage has been rated “Adults Only 18+” on the Xbox Store, and the game will contain “Real Gambling”.
After the game’s official reveal at Ubisoft Forward, the pre-order page for the game began showing up on various digital storefronts, including the Xbox Store. The listing reveals that Assassin’s Creed Mirage has been rated as Adults Only (AO) by the ESRB.
The description of the AO rating for Assassin’s Creed Mirage is titled “Adults Only 18+”, and it states that the game will feature intense violence, blood and gore, sexual themes, partial nudity, and real gambling. It also highlights that the game will include in-game purchases.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage will mark a return to stealth action origins for the series. The game takes place in Baghdad, and will be heavily inspired by from the first Assassin’s Creed game. It will not feature RPG elements, such as the leveling system, dialogue choices, gender choice found in recent Assassin’s Creed games.
Players will assume the role of Basim, who is portrayed in his youth as a thief until he arrives at the Hidden Ones. The Eagle Vision mechanic is set to make its return in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Basim will also be able to use a String Dagger to eliminate his opponents. While the entire game takes place in the city of Baghdad, the world map is broken down into distinct zones, each featuring a boss encounter. The setting will include a desert, oases, and rivers.
The game is also said to feature lots of NPCs in the streets, and the goal is to have as much crowd density as we’ve seen in Assassin’s Creed Unity. Assassin’s Creed Mirage was revealed during a “Future of Assassin’s Creed” segment on September 10, 2022 during Ubisoft Forward. It is set for release on consoles and PC sometime in the year 2023.
