Battlefield 6 Team Investigating Deployment Screen, Black Screen, and Progression Issues After Blastpoint Update

by Salal Awan

The Battlefield 6 development team has shared a status update on several issues reported by players following the release of the game’s latest Blastpoint update, confirming that fixes are currently being worked on but are not yet ready for deployment.

One of the most widely reported problems affects PC players attempting to deploy into matches. According to the developers, the root cause of the deployment screen jumping issue has been identified. While a fix is being prepared, the team is evaluating how and when it can be released without introducing additional problems. In the meantime, players have suggested using keyboard controls to select deployment locations as a temporary workaround.

The team also addressed the lighting bug impacting REDSEC. Developers previously attempted to resolve the issue as part of Tuesday’s Blastpoint update, but confirmed that the intended fix did not work. Investigation into the problem is ongoing.

Another issue under review involves players encountering a black screen or becoming stuck on the Battlefield 6 logo after leaving a match or modifying installed game content through the in-game menu. While both symptoms appear similar, the developers believe they may stem from different causes. Until a permanent solution is available, players are advised to install or uninstall content through platform services such as the EA app rather than using the game’s front-end menu.

The update also provided new information regarding the Missing Bonus Path and Explosive Charge challenge progression issue. A fix released on Wednesday restored access to rewards and allowed affected players to complete the Bonus Path. However, developers have since received reports from some players who remain a few points short of completion. According to the team, these cases appear to be linked to challenge re-rolls. A longer-term fix is being investigated, but players impacted by the issue should be able to earn additional points when the next set of Explosive Charge challenges becomes available on Tuesday, adding another 50 points to the progression track.

The developers said they will continue to share updates as investigations progress and expect to provide more information next week.

Battlefield 6 launched on October 10, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Developed by Battlefield Studios and published by Electronic Arts, the game returns the franchise to a modern military setting centered on a conflict between a fractured NATO alliance and the private military organization Pax Armata.
