Blood Of Dawnwalker Launch Trailer Released

by Greg Martin

The Blood of Dawnwalker has received its launch trailer ahead of the dark fantasy action RPG’s release on September 3. Developed by Rebel Wolves and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, the game will launch on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The new trailer provides a final look at the world of Vale Sangora and the threats awaiting players, including Brencis, a powerful vampire lord who rules over the region. The game is set in 14th-century Europe, where vampires have taken control amid a world already devastated by wars, plagues and rebellions.

Players take on the role of Coen, a young man who becomes a Dawnwalker. He remains human during the day but transforms into a vampire at night, giving him different capabilities and challenges depending on the time.

The story is built around player choice, with decisions directly affecting both the narrative and gameplay. Rebel Wolves has designed the game so that players can explore its world at their own pace, discover quests, investigate points of interest and uncover secrets, mysteries and treasures.

The game takes place in the Carpathian Mountains, with the open world featuring forests, roadside shrines and ancient ruins alongside its settlements and other locations. The setting draws on the region’s myths and beliefs while providing the backdrop for Coen’s struggle against Brencis and his vampire followers.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is the first game from Rebel Wolves and is being developed using Unreal Engine 5. It is also intended to serve as the opening chapter of the wider Dawnwalker saga, with the studio previously confirming that future instalments will move to different historical periods and cultures.

The Blood of Dawnwalker launches on September 3 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players attending gamescom can also visit Rebel Wolves’ booth in Hall 6.1 to try the game ahead of its release.
