Seán McLoughlin, widely known as Jacksepticeye, has shared additional details about Sony’s upcoming animated Bloodborne film, offering insight into his involvement following the project’s reveal at CinemaCon 2026.

In a recent YouTube video, McLoughlin confirmed his role as a producer on the R-rated adaptation, describing the opportunity in personal terms. He said, “I can’t believe I get to say the words that are going to come out of my mouth. A lot of you have probably seen the news already, but I get to produce an R-rated Bloodborne animated feature film.”

He emphasized the significance of the project within his career, calling it “literally a dream come true for me” and adding that it is “the biggest thing that I’ve ever been able to announce as part of my YouTube channel, as part of my career.” McLoughlin also revealed that he had been quietly working toward this opportunity for some time, previously hinting at a major undisclosed project.

Discussing his connection to the franchise, he made clear that Bloodborne holds a particularly important place for him. “I live and breathe FromSoftware games, but Bloodborne specifically is my top tier, highest echelon of game,” he said.

While he clarified that he is not serving as the film’s writer or director, McLoughlin stressed his commitment to the project’s quality. “But as the producer, whatever is within my power to do, I will do it. I will fight tooth and nail to make this thing the best it possibly can be,” he stated.

Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions are developing the animated feature alongside Lyrical Animation. The film is expected to stay true to the tone of the original game, though details regarding its story and release timeline have not yet been disclosed.
