Gearbox Software has released the first major post-launch update for Borderlands 3. This will patch the game to version 1.02. Here are the patch notes.
Borderlands 3 has managed to be a major success for both Gearbox Software and its publisher 2K. The game shipped five million copies across PC, PS4, and Xbox One within five days. Digital copies made up 70% of the number which is pretty huge for a game of this caliber. This is despite the game being timed exclusive to the Epic Games Store.
After the launch of Borderlands 3, there was some backlash over the performance of the game, especially on consoles. While Borderlands 3 offers support for 60 FPS on the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, the performance was less than ideal on both platforms.
Gearbox Software is continuing to work on fixing the issues that have been encountered by the fans so far. They have released an update today for all platforms that address some of the complaints and fixes issues with the game.
You can get the full patch notes from the official website. Improvements have been made to the split-screen and online multiplayer in addition to the UI.
Borderlands 3 is available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It is a timed exclusive for the Epic Games Store and will arrive on Steam after one year of its launch date.
