Capcom is reportedly preparing several announcements for an upcoming Nintendo Direct, including Ace Attorney 7 and new details on Mega Man: Dual Override. The company could also provide the first information on Monster Hunter Wilds for Nintendo Switch 2.
Nintendo has not officially announced a September Direct, although the company has regularly held a major presentation during the month in recent years. The rumored presentation could provide Capcom with an opportunity to showcase several of its upcoming projects.
Mega Man And Ace Attorney Could Feature
Mega Man: Dual Override is reportedly set to receive further details and a release date during the presentation. Capcom recently showed the game at Gamescom 2026, and the next Nintendo Direct could offer another look at the upcoming platformer.
The presentation could also see Capcom announce Mega Man and Proto Man, referred to as Blues in Japan, amiibo figures alongside the game.
Another potential announcement is Ace Attorney 7. Capcom has spent recent years bringing older entries in the courtroom adventure series to modern platforms, including The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy and Ace Attorney Investigations Collection.
A new mainline entry would therefore represent a significant development for the long-running franchise, which centres on evidence gathering, investigations and courtroom trials.
Monster Hunter Wilds Could Be Shown On Switch 2
Capcom has already confirmed that Monster Hunter Wilds is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, but has yet to provide details about the version. The rumored Nintendo Direct could therefore be used to reveal information about the port.
Monster Hunter Wilds originally launched for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S in February 2025. The game uses Capcom’s RE Engine and features dynamic environments, changing weather and large monster populations, making its potential performance on Nintendo’s newer hardware a significant point of interest.
Mega Man: Dual Override is also scheduled for 2027 as part of the franchise’s 40th anniversary celebrations. The game introduces a dual-hero system allowing players to switch between Mega Man and Proto Man, alongside the new Override mechanic and customisable chip system.
For now, Nintendo has not confirmed the rumored September Direct, meaning these potential Capcom announcements should be treated as unconfirmed until an official presentation is announced.
