Chrono Cross Remaster has been rumored a few times these past few weeks, and now another report suggests it could be exclusive to the PS5.
This rumor comes from a podcast hosted by Nate The Hate on YouTube. It was participated by Jeff Grubb and Modern Vintage Gamer as guests.
In this podcast, the rumors surrounding the Chrono Cross remaster were discussed with the source suggesting that it might be exclusive to the PS5. It is important to mention that this doesn’t rule out a PC version since the existence of the remaster was first discovered in the GeForce Now database leak.
While it isn’t explicitly mentioned that this remaster will be exclusive to the PS5, this is implied in the podcast that Sony is trying to secure exclusivity for this remaster. It is also slightly more ambitious than ordinary remasters, something like Final Fantasy VIII Remaster that launched recently.
Among some of the rumors regarding this remaster, there appears to be one that comes from a collaboration with a mobile game, Another Eden. This collaboration is planned to go live after The Game Awards and according to a datamined file, the remaster might be announced or released sooner than we think.
