Control Resonant moves the series beyond the Oldest House and into a paranaturally altered downtown Manhattan. The game follows Dylan Faden, Jesse Faden’s brother, who is deployed by the Federal Bureau of Control to contain a reality-bending cosmic force while searching for his missing sister.
Unlike its predecessor’s third-person shooter gameplay, Control Resonant is an open-ended action RPG that places greater emphasis on close-quarters combat. Players will use the shapeshifting Aberrant weapon alongside gravity-based traversal abilities while exploring large urban areas and battling extradimensional threats.
Control Resonant is being developed and self-published by Remedy Entertainment. The game is scheduled to launch digitally on September 24, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
A physical console release is scheduled for October 15, 2026, while a Mac version is planned for later in the year.
Control Resonant Editions and Pre-Orders
Control Resonant will be available in Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions alongside physical release options.
The Standard Edition includes the base game and applicable pre-order bonus cosmetic packs. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes additional in-game content, including exclusive Aberrant weapon forms and specialised parautilitarian gear, as well as a digital artbook and soundtrack.
On PlayStation 5, pre-ordering the Digital Deluxe Edition also provides 48-hour early access beginning September 22, 2026.
