Pearl Abyss has revealed Crimson Desert Enhanced, a new update for the open-world action RPG that adds new story content, 5 voiceover languages and Arabic subtitles and UI support. The update was announced during Opening Night Live at gamescom 2026.
Crimson Desert Enhanced adds new cutscenes and dialogue intended to improve the flow of the game’s narrative. The update also expands voiceover support with French, German, Spanish, Japanese and Brazilian Portuguese, alongside Arabic subtitles and user interface support.
The Enhanced update is available as a free update for existing owners of Crimson Desert. The game is also receiving its first discount across all platforms since launch, with a 20% reduction available until September 9.
The 20% discount applies to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Apple Mac and Epic Games Store versions of the game. Players who already own Crimson Desert will receive all of the Enhanced content without purchasing the game again.
Crimson Desert Enhanced has also received 2 nominations at the Gamescom Awards 2026. Pearl Abyss’ game is nominated for Most Epic and Best PC Game, with the awards recognising titles showcased at this year’s gamescom.
The game will also be playable at gamescom from August 26 through August 30. Pearl Abyss is partnering with Samsung Electronics for the event, with hands-on demonstrations taking place in Hall 09.1, Stand B020-C029.
Visitors will be able to experience Crimson Desert Enhanced using Samsung’s latest gaming monitor hardware. The playable demo provides attendees with an opportunity to explore the game’s world of Pywel and experience the new version of the RPG.
Crimson Desert Enhanced is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Epic Games Store and Apple Mac.
