Cyberpunk 2077 suffered from a major bug on the PC that could lead to the save file getting corrupted. This has been fixed with update 1.06.
As we have reported earlier, there was a major bug for Cyberpunk 2077 on the PC that could lead to the save file getting corrupted if the user accumulated too many items or spent a lot of time crafting new ones.
At that time, the official statement was that there won’t be any way to recover the corrupted save data and the publisher recommended that the player shouldn’t use any exploit to gain multiple items.
It appears that ahead of the new year, CD Projekt Red has pushed out a quick hotfix just in time to fix this issue on PC. The patch notes for this hotfix mention just three bug fixes as detailed below.
So the fixes involved here might seem minor but at least on PC, they do carry a big impact. People shouldn’t have to worry about their save data getting corrupted after this new update.
