Toby Fox has confirmed that Deltarune Chapter 6 is currently planned to launch in 2027.
The announcement was shared through the game’s official FAQ, where Fox also confirmed that Chapter 5 is not the final instalment of the episodic RPG.
Responding to a question about whether Chapter 5 concludes the story, the FAQ states: “Nope! The story is still continuing, and more Chapters will be added for free over time.”
The FAQ also provides the first release window for the next chapter, stating: “We are aiming for a 2027 release! Meanwhile, we will be periodically releasing information on the development progress of the game.”
Deltarune is planned as a seven-chapter story. Chapters 1 and 2 launched as free releases in 2018 and 2021, while Chapters 3 and 4 became available as part of the game’s paid release on June 5, 2025, across PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Chapter 5 was released as a free update for existing owners on June 24, 2026, with the remaining chapters set to complete the game’s story.
