Blizzard’s Diablo 4 is reportedly targeting an April, 2023 release, with an early access open beta planned for February.
During the latest episode of The XboxEra podcast, it was revealed that a fancy new trailer for Diablo 4 along with a release date and open beta announcement is scheduled to happen at The Game Awards later this year in December, 2022. Pre-orders for the game are also expected to go live around the same time.
According to Job Clarke, the game will receive an Ultimate edition and an early access and open beta in February, 2023. He added that the launch target for the game is planned for sometime around April, 2023, though he cautioned that no exact date is set in stone as yet. Clarke also revealed that Blizzard appears to be embracing the Games As A Service (GAAS) model, with the inclusion of seasons of post-launch content beginning later in 2023. He expects Diablo 4 to feature a lot of gore and be a mature rated game.
Previously, it was revealed that Diablo 4’s difficulty setting can be altered at any time from the character selection screen or from the world tier statue in Kyovashed.
Diablo IV is an upcoming action role-playing game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment, and is the fourth main installment in the Diablo series. The game’s release date was revealed on June 12, 2022, after the game’s announcement on November 1, 2019 during BlizzCon 2019. While new elements like an open environment and pvp interactions will be added, series staples like re-playable, randomly generated dungeons and loot-focused character creation will remain. Barbarian, Sorceress, Druid, Rogue, and Necromancer are the five playable classes that have been revealed; they have all made an appearance in the series. Players control their avatar as they complete tasks and engage in battle in the Sanctuary universe while the exiled Lilith reappears to cause mayhem.
