Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen Comes to Switch 2

by Greg Martin

Capcom has announced Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen for Nintendo Switch 2, bringing an expanded version of its action RPG to Nintendo’s latest platform on October 9.

The game places players in the role of the Arisen, a hero tasked with confronting the Dragon that has stolen their heart. Throughout the adventure, players will battle a wide variety of threats, including hostile warriors, powerful creatures, and towering monsters that demand careful preparation and tactical combat approaches. Character progression remains a key part of the experience, with players able to select from multiple vocations and weapon types to tailor their preferred playstyle.

As in the original release, players will journey alongside Pawns, mysterious companions who assist throughout the adventure. These otherworldly allies accompany the Arisen across the game’s expansive world, helping in combat and exploration as the story unfolds.

The biggest addition in Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen is Norgan, a new region introduced exclusively in this expanded edition. Described as a cold and desolate land, Norgan offers players fresh territory to explore along with valuable rewards hidden throughout its frozen landscapes. Those seeking its rare treasures will need to overcome terrifying creatures and powerful foes that inhabit the region.

According to Capcom, exploration and combat will play a central role in uncovering Norgan’s secrets, with some of the area’s most valuable spoils guarded by monsters far stronger than those encountered elsewhere in the game.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen launches for Nintendo Switch 2 on October 9.
