Elden Ring Sales Have Surpassed 23 Million Copies
Sales of Bandai Namco Entertainment and FromSoftware’s successful action role-playing game, Elden Ring, have now surpassed 23 million copies.
In its official press release regarding the launch date for the upcoming expansion for Elden Ring, Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed that the game’s sales have now surpassed 23 million units worldwide. The cumulative number is obtained from distribution figures of the physical version and sales figures of the downloadable versions including those from Steam/PC.
Bandai Namco Entertainment and FromSoftware announced announced that the Elden Ring expansion, titled Shadow of the Erdtree, is set for release on June 21, 2024 worldwide. Pre-orders began today on February 22, 2024. February 22, 2024. The DLC tells the story of Miquella, illustrated in a new setting called the Land of Shadow. Players will enjoy an adventure with a high degree of freedom, in various situations full of mysteries and danger with numerous newly added weapons and armor.
According to the official description, the Land of Shadow is where Marika became God-Queen and where the Erdtree was born. In the Land of Shadow, where the fields and dungeons seamlessly intervene, an adventure filled with abundant freedom and full of mysteries and discoveries awaits players. Players will confront threatening bosses in the vast fields as well as elaborate dungeons. The addition of a variety of new weapons, sorceries, and skills will deliver a fresh experience in battles. As before, players can freely customize their character to match their play style and confront threats with a uniquely personalized approach. The story will cover why Miquella went to the Land of Shadow.
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is priced at $39.99 for existing owners of the base game. Those who have yet to set foot in the Lands Between now have the option of purchasing the Shadow of the Erdtree Edition for $79.99, which includes both the base game and the expansion. Deluxe (digital) and Collector’s (physical) Editions will also be available with additional content.
