Fable will support 60 FPS on Xbox Series X|S, according to the game’s official promotional page. The page states that the upcoming RPG is optimised for Microsoft’s current-generation consoles with support for 4K Ultra HD, HDR and 60 FPS.
The promotional material reads, “Fable is optimized for XBOX Series X|S consoles supporting 4K Ultra HD, HDR, and 60 FPS. Play it day one with Game Pass.”
This confirms that 60 FPS support is planned for Xbox Series X|S, although the promotional page does not provide further details about the resolution or performance modes that will be available.
The new Fable is being developed by Playground Games as a reboot of the long-running fantasy RPG series. It is set in Albion and retains the franchise’s focus on player choice, exploration and humour, while introducing a new take on the world and its characters.
Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, and will be available on day one through Game Pass.
