Not a whole lot is known about Far Cry 7, but, going by the Nintendo Switch 2’s rumored launch window, Ubisoft’s next open world, first-person shooter is likely to see the light of day sometime during Fall 2024. Earlier rumors regarding the Nintendo Switch 2 suggested that it is set to launch sometime late in 2024.

In his recent podcast, YouTuber Nate the Hate had shared that the announcement timing for Nintendo’s next console will happen after the company’s current Fiscal Year, which ends on March 31, 2024. Additionally, Nate had shared some details regarding the console’s launch and specs. As per what he had heard, the Nintendo Switch 2 is set for launch in late 2024.

Nate claimed to have heard from multiple developers that they have known about devkits. He also predicted that the console will launch alongside a brand new 3D Mario game. He also believes the Nintendo Switch 2 will launch with an 8-inch LCD screen and a fairly significant amount of internal flash memory, possibly 512 GB. According to what Nate had heard, the Nintendo Switch 2 will begin production in the First Quarter of 2024, which is sometime between April and June.

Regarding the console’s technical capabilities, Nate had shared that the console was shown behind closed doors at Gamescom running The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild at a resolution of 4K and a frame rate of 60 fps with the help of Nvidia’s AI-based image reconstruction technology, DLSS. As such, the Nintendo Switch 2 should be capable of running Far Cry 7 at a lower resolution with the aid of DLSS and lower graphical settings compared to current-gen consoles.
