Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Has Been Rated In South Korea
Square Enix’s forthcoming action role-playing game, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, has been rated in South Korea.
In a new listing filed on November 3, 2023, the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea has rated Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. As per the Game Rating classification in Korea, the game has been rated 15+, and is therefore suitable for 15 year olds and above.
According to the reason cited for this rating, the classification decision states that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is not excessively sensational, with indirect and limited exposure of the female character’s body. It is further stated that the game is not excessively violent, featuring a realistic depiction of weapons used in battle and continuous combat. Additionally, according to the listing, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is doesn’t feature excessive use of drugs, with indirect and limited realistic expressions of drinking and smoking. Therefore, in accordance with Article 21 of the Game Industry Promotion Act and Article 7 Subparagraph 3 of the Rating Regulations, the game was deemed suitable for 15 year olds and above.
Previously, it was revealed via promotional material for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth that those who have Final Fantasy VII Remake or Final Fantasy VII Remake: EPISODE INTERmission save data on their PS5 storage will gain access to either Leviathan or Ramuh Summon Materia as a bonus in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
To further clarify, a save file for the PS4 or PS5 versions of Final Fantasy VII Remake will unlock the Leviathan Summon Materia in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Similarly, a file for Final Fantasy VII Remake: EPISODE INTERmission on PS5 will unlock the Ramuh Summon Materia in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
