Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade Reportedly Heading To Steam
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is launching on PC as an Epic Games Store exclusive, but the game might head to Steam as well.
Files have been datamined from the PC version of the game that suggests the existence of the Steam version. A Steam Database entry of the game was also discovered that suggested that Square is open to bringing it once the exclusivity period ends.
The move to launch the game as a timed exclusive to Epic Games Store along with the price being set at higher than the standard most PC gamers pay on PC means that the game is facing a lot of backlashes. What doesn’t help it is that the PC port has been deemed as terrible by tech enthusiasts as it suffers from stuttering that can’t be fixed for now.
It remains to be seen what Square Enix is planning for the future of this port on PC. For now, it has remaining exclusive to the Epic Games Store where it might be available for six months until it is released on other stores like Steam. The lack of Denuvo DRM hasn’t helped the sales of the game as pirated copies are already available to download online.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is also available on PS5. The comparison between the PS5 and PC version doesn’t do it any favor since they are near identical save for the performance.
