Final Fantasy XIV: Evercold will launch on February 23, 2027, with early access beginning four days earlier on February 19 for eligible players who pre-order the expansion. Square Enix confirmed the release date through the MMORPG’s official account, with pre-orders scheduled to open on November 4, 2026.
Evercold is the sixth major expansion for Final Fantasy XIV and takes players to the icebound realm of the Fourth. It raises the level cap to 110 and introduces two new jobs: Bastion, a tank, and Zephyr, a physical ranged DPS job.
The expansion will also add new dungeons and cities, alongside a redesigned job action system. Players will be able to choose between two combat modes, Evolved and Reborn. The former offers a streamlined approach, while the latter retains the traditional combat system.
Final Fantasy XIV originally launched in 2010 but received a negative reception, prompting Square Enix to rebuild the MMORPG before relaunching it in 2013 as A Realm Reborn. The game has since received five major expansions: Heavensward, Stormblood, Shadowbringers, Endwalker, and Dawntrail.
