Forza Horizon 6 is still scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5 later in 2026, with Playground Games reconfirming the planned release in its latest update blog. Players can now add the game to their wishlist on the PlayStation Store to receive notifications about its availability.
The game launched on May 19, 2026, for Xbox Series X/S and PC and takes players to a fictionalised version of Japan. It features the largest map in the series to date, covering areas including mountain passes, coastal roads and a large recreation of Tokyo.
Forza Horizon 6 PS5 players will be able to experience the open-world racing game alongside Xbox and PC users through cross-play. The PS5 version will also support cross-progression, allowing players to carry their progress across supported platforms.
The PS5 release is part of Microsoft’s broader strategy of bringing more Xbox titles to competing platforms. The game will also make use of PlayStation 5 hardware features, including DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive triggers designed to provide additional feedback when accelerating and braking.
Forza Horizon 6 is developed by Playground Games and published by Xbox Game Studios. The latest entry continues the series’ focus on open-world driving, licensed vehicles, changing weather and social multiplayer features.
