Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition will launch for PS5 on October 1, bringing a new narrative expansion, a single-player combat survival mode and several additional updates to Sucker Punch’s samurai adventure. The Complete Edition will cost $69.99 and includes the base game, Ghost of Yōtei Legends and the new content arriving on October 1.
The headline addition is Ghost of Yōtei: Echoes of Sekigahara, a new story expansion that moves between Atsu’s present-day journey in Ezo and flashbacks to her time on the mainland. The story introduces Nagato, a character from Atsu’s past who arrives in Ezo, while also taking players to a previously unseen valley once occupied by The Snake and his followers, the Vipers.
The expansion will also revisit Atsu’s experiences during the Battle of Sekigahara and explore an important period of her life before she returned home to begin her quest for vengeance. Players can expect new enemies, heavy weapons, armour sets, dyes and other additions.
Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted is the other major addition. This new single-player combat survival mode takes inspiration from the roguelike genre, allowing players to accept bounties and begin new runs where defeating enemies provides perks and unlocks additional playable characters.
Different characters will have their own strengths in combat. Atsu specialises in dual katanas, Oyuki uses the kusarigama, while Nagato is particularly effective with a yari. Sucker Punch says more details about the mode will be revealed ahead of its October launch.
The Complete Edition also contains Ghost of Yōtei Legends, the game’s online cooperative experience for up to four players, along with the previously released Digital Deluxe Edition content and the Charm of Hokkyokusei.
Players who purchase the Complete Edition by September 30 will also receive an early unlock for the Sakai Armour on October 1. The armour is inspired by Jin Sakai’s family armour from Ghost of Tsushima and can be worn by Atsu.
Existing owners of Ghost of Yōtei can purchase the Complete Edition Upgrade for $14.99. The upgrade provides access to Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted, while players who do not already own the Digital Deluxe Edition will also receive its content and the Charm of Hokkyokusei upon pre-ordering. The Sakai Armour early unlock is also included for those who pre-order by September 30.
Beyond the major additions, the Complete Edition will introduce new music for Watanabe Mode, additional Photo Mode stamps, more cosmetics for New Game+ and new Trophies tied to Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted.
Sucker Punch is also adding content for existing owners who do not purchase the upgrade. A free October 1 patch will introduce Beauty of Yōtei, a screensaver-style mode that lets players view Ezo’s environments, along with the ability to capture new Photo Mode images.
The update will also add quality of life improvements, including an option to retain the appearance of one armour set while using another set’s statistics. A new high contrast accessibility option will also be included.
Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition launches on PS5 on October 1, 2026. The new content will be delivered through patch v.2.0, although the update will arrive on October 2 in some territories, including Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
