Multiple images of what appears to be a close to final prototype of the unannounced Xbox Elite Series 3 controller have mysteriously been leaked.
In their last post before deleting their account, a mysterious Reddit user by the name of ssuberlex has shared a series of images of what appears to be a close to final prototype of the unannounced Xbox Elite Series 3 controller. “Anyone know what controller this is?! Is this the elite series 3??” asked the former member in the title of their post.

Images of the alleged Xbox Elite Series 3 controller can be seen below.
As seen above in the last image, the controller’s battery compartment reads, “PROTOTYPE: NOT FOR SALE,” and it comes with certification from CONATEL. According to the former Reddit member, the prototype device doesn’t function via a wired or wireless connection with an Xbox Series X|S or PC, suggesting it’s likely configured to work with a development kit. They also mentioned that the controller features scroll wheels at the bottom.
An icon above the controller’s charging port seems to indicate that it may feature Direct to Cloud functionality. Tecnoblog recently reported on a compact Xbox controller aimed at players who regularly use Xbox Cloud Gaming across mobile devices, tablets, and smart TVs. Unlike the above images of the alleged Xbox Elite Series 3 controller, leaked pictures of the cloud-focused controller showed a smaller and more portable design. The overall look resembled compact third-party controllers such as the HyperX Clutch Tanto and the SN30 Pro from 8BitDo, while still retaining the familiar Xbox button layout. The controller appeared to feature the traditional analog sticks, d-pad, triggers, bumpers, and face buttons seen on modern gamepads.
According to the leaked documentation, the controller uses Wi-Fi 6 with 20 MHz bandwidth support, potentially allowing for lower-latency cloud gaming sessions compared to standard Bluetooth connections. The device is also said to include a Realtek RTL8730E chip featuring dual ARM Cortex-A7 cores clocked at 1.2 GHz.
