Ghost Recon Wildlands PS Store Leak Points to PS5 Upgrade

A PlayStation Store leak has seemingly revealed a next-generation update for Ghost Recon Wildlands ahead of Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon 25th Anniversary Showcase. According to information shared on Reddit, the Ghost Recon Wildlands PS5 upgrade is scheduled to launch on August 6 alongside a dedicated PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S version.

The leaked details claim current owners of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will be able to upgrade for free. Disc owners are reportedly required to download the new version while keeping the original PlayStation 4 disc inserted to play.

According to the leaked listing, the update includes support for 4K resolution at 60 FPS, 3D Audio, faster SSD loading times, and DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive trigger effects. It also claims a new free story expansion titled The Last Rites will be released alongside various quality-of-life improvements.

The listing further states that Ghost Recon Wildlands will be free to play from August 6 through August 10.

Ubisoft previously confirmed that more announcements related to Ghost Recon Wildlands and the future of the franchise would be shared during its 25th Anniversary celebrations.
