Microsoft has rolled out a new Xbox Insider update, introducing a range of features that give players more control over game captures, cloud saves, achievements and wishlists. The updates are beginning with Xbox Insiders, while some features will expand to more players over time.
One of the biggest additions lets members of the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring include voice chat in their gameplay recordings. Players can choose whether party chat is captured, with each participant deciding if their own voice can be included. The feature also supports game chat audio for those who are not in a party.
Achievement tracking has also been expanded for Alpha Skip-Ahead users. In addition to the existing “Last Played” view, players can now sort their achievement history by game name, completion percentage, Gamerscore earned or the number of achievements unlocked. Each category can be arranged in either ascending or descending order.
Microsoft has also introduced more control over cloud saves. Available now for Xbox Insiders and scheduled to reach more players next week, the feature allows users to restore previously synced cloud saves directly from their console. It launches with support for Forza Horizon 6, where players can access older save versions through the Manage Game & Add-ons menu, with additional titles set to gain support in future updates.
The latest update also expands wishlist capacity for all Xbox users. Players can now save up to 1,000 games to their wishlist, making it easier to track upcoming releases, build a backlog or monitor games for future purchases.
Microsoft says the latest features are intended to provide players with greater flexibility when managing their Xbox experience, with additional Insider features expected to roll out more broadly in future updates.
