Ghost Recon Wildlands PS5 Version May Be on the Way

by Salal Awan

A series of recent store updates has sparked speculation that Ghost Recon Wildlands could receive current-generation console versions alongside new downloadable content in August. Ubisoft has not officially announced any new release, so the information should be treated as unconfirmed.

According to changes spotted on SteamDB, Ghost Recon Wildlands now has a Definitive Edition listing that references new content arriving in August. The updated Steam page also includes new artwork for the Definitive Edition.

Players have also noticed a change to the PlayStation Store listing. As highlighted in a post on the Ghost Recon subreddit, the game’s description now reads: “This product entitles you to download both the digital PS4® version and the digital PS5® version of this game.”

The PlayStation Store page itself has not otherwise been updated to list PS5 as a supported platform. The wording has nevertheless prompted speculation that a native PS5 version could be planned.

Other Ubisoft PS4 titles that have received PS5 enhancements do not include similar wording in their store descriptions, instead referencing features such as 60 FPS support or providing no mention of PS5 at all.

For now, Ubisoft has not commented on the updated listings, and there has been no official confirmation that Ghost Recon Wildlands will receive a PS5 version, a current-generation update, or new DLC in August.
