Alkimia Interactive has released a new hotfix for Gothic 1 Remake, targeting several quest progression issues, savegame problems, and gameplay bugs reported by players since the launch of Update 1.0.2.
The patch improves save profile handling, fixes a crash related to documents containing images, resolves multiple story-related issues, and addresses problems affecting faction relationships and crime detection when using magic.

Quest Fixes
- Fixed an issue where interaction with Xardas’ Demon would not work correctly.
- Fixed a bug that prevented Baal Lukor from dying in the Orc Cemetery for some players.
- Fixed relationship issues during the Free Mine raid.
Savegame Improvements
- Improved savegame and profile management logic.
- Added functionality to recover savegame profiles that still exist on disk but are not displayed in-game.
Crash Fixes
- Fixed a crash that could occur after interacting with a document containing images.
Gameplay Fixes
- Fixed an issue involving crimes committed with magic where the wrong instigator could be assigned.
