Alkimia Interactive has released Update 1.0.2 for Gothic 1 Remake, bringing a mix of new features, story progression fixes, balance adjustments, and performance improvements. The headline addition is the introduction of dedicated Performance and Quality graphics presets for console players.
The update also addresses numerous quest and dialogue issues that could block progression, improves cutscene presentation, rebalances magic and enemy encounters, and delivers a large number of gameplay fixes across all chapters of the campaign.

- Lockpicking now awards a small amount of experience.
- Reduced two-handed axe stun damage to prevent stun-lock situations.

- Increased Ball Lightning damage.

- Increased healing values for Heal in higher magic circles.
- Adjusted mana costs for high-level circle spells.
