Rockstar Games’ upcoming open world action-adventure game, GTA VI, is already the best selling game across all PlayStation Store regions.
The PlayStation Store has updated its list of best selling games for the first time since GTA VI pre-orders for PS5 went live, and, to the surprise of no one, the game is leading sales across all store regions (via ResetEra member Red Kong XIX).

As of writing, GTA VI is leading the best seller list in each of the above PlayStation Store regions. This is a rare sight, and only goes to show the mass appeal of the Grand Theft Auto franchise. To put things in perspective, the game hasn’t received a new trailer in over a year, is close to 5 months from release, and costs between 80 to 100 US Dollars. Despite all this, fans are gladly paying for it well in advance.
GTA VI is set for release on November 19, 2026, for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Those who purchase the physical edition will receive a boxed copy containing a digital download code instead of a game disc. According to Polish media outlet PPE.pl, physical copies including a disc are scheduled to arrive after launch in December. The same insider had previously claimed that the game wouldn’t receive a physical release at launch, which was later confirmed by Rockstar Games. The Hollywood Reporter and insider Nate the Hate have claimed otherwise. More details here.
