New Halo news could be announced within the next day, according to Windows Central editor Jez Corden, who has teased that fans will soon learn more about the future of Microsoft’s long-running franchise.
Corden responded to questions about when the next Halo news would arrive by simply saying “soon.” When asked whether he had information about what is next for the series, including upcoming games and their timelines, he told fans to “stay tuned.” He later confirmed that there is something interesting happening with Halo and said, “yes, youll find out more within a day.”
The comments have since prompted speculation about what Microsoft and Halo Studios could be preparing to reveal. ResetEra user NateTheHate, who is known for sharing information about upcoming games, also responded to the discussion and suggested that the eventual reaction to the news could vary depending on what is announced.
“The Halo news will vary individual to individual. Layoffs are bad, of course; but as for the series’ future… people will react in a variety of ways,” Nate said in the thread.
Halo is currently entering a new phase under Halo Studios, following the rebranding of 343 Industries and the studio’s transition to Unreal Engine 5. The developers have released a remake of Halo: Combat Evolved, which launched for the first time on PS5, in addition to Xbox and PC.
