Horizon Forbidden West is launching in just 2 days and it has already received a couple of updates. Check out the patch notes for update 1.04.
Horizon Forbidden West pre-load is available now if you own a PS5 copy of the game digitally, but you are out of luck if you purchased the PS4 version since the pre-load won’t be up for this until the launch day. You won’t be able to take advantage of the cheaper price to get the free PS5 upgrade either.
This brings us to the latest patch for Horizon Forbidden West which has bumped the update version to 1.04. This patch addresses another new set of issues with the game that the developers have identified before it launches later this week.
Horizon Forbidden West Update 1.04 Patch Notes
- Various performance improvements
- Fixes for certain rare or conditional crashes/progression blockers
- Fixed a few instances where the Game Progression page in the Notebook would not update correctly
- Addressed several cosmetic issues
Based on the patch notes, it appears that there are still some kinks to be ironed out including for the performance of the game. These patch notes are for the PS4 version of the game though, so do keep in mind. Although in most cases, the patch notes apply to both the PS4 and PS5.
The game will be available on February 18 for the PS4 and PS5.
