Sony’s upcoming Days of Play 2026 promotion may have leaked ahead of its official announcement, with Dealabs insider billbil-kun sharing details on several expected discounts across PlayStation hardware, accessories, and games.
According to the report, Days of Play 2026 is expected to begin on May 27 and run through June 10. The annual PlayStation sales event typically includes discounts on consoles, accessories, games, and PlayStation Plus subscriptions through PlayStation Direct and participating retailers.
This year’s promotion arrives shortly after Sony increased prices for PS5 consoles and certain PlayStation Plus subscription plans earlier in 2026. The PS5 now starts at €649.99, while the PS5 Digital Edition and PS5 Pro increased to €599.99 and €899.99 respectively.
The leaked discounts suggest Sony may focus more heavily on accessories and software rather than console price cuts. Among the reported offers are €20 discounts on select DualSense controllers, lowering prices to around €54.99, alongside a €30 reduction for the DualSense Edge controller, bringing it down to €189.99 from €219.99.
The PlayStation VR2 headset is also expected to receive a major discount, reportedly dropping from €449.99 to €349.99. Ghost of Yōtei is listed at €54.99 instead of its standard €79.99 price, while Pulse Elite headsets and Pulse Explore earbuds are expected to receive discounts of at least €20.
The report additionally claims PlayStation Plus subscribers using PlayStation Direct may receive an extra 5% discount on eligible purchases during the event.
One of the more notable details from the leak is the apparent absence of PS5 console discounts. According to the report, Sony currently does not appear to be planning official promotions for the PS5, PS5 Pro, or PlayStation Portal during this year’s Days of Play event, though that has not yet been confirmed.
Sony is reportedly expected to officially announce the full Days of Play 2026 lineup around May 26. The company has also already confirmed a new State of Play presentation for June 2, featuring more than 60 minutes of announcements and an extended look at Marvel’s Wolverine.
